Text editors in Linux or Unix

             
                  A traditional UNIX system text editor, should be on any UNIX system. It requires learning a few key combinations, but is very powerful, and it is also quite small.
                 The powerful and most used text editors are,

1.Vim or vi Editor ( Text user interface )




vim - vi improved. A newer version of the vulnerable vi editor. Many systems use vim rather than vi .

gEdit ( Graphical user interface )

    gedit is the default text editor for the GNOME desktop environment.  This is a UTF-8 compatible text editor.
